Sigrid ten Napel is a highly regarded multifaceted actress, born in the Netherlands.
In 2011 the film INSIDE won ‘Best Television Drama’ at the Nederlands Film Festival; the board of that same festival rewarded Sigrid with the title of ‘Promise of the future’ as well as ‘Talent of the year’ for her impressive lead of a young girl locked up in a juvenile detention centre after being traumatized due to sexual abuse. For both her performances in the television series ADULTERY and LINE 32 she was nominated ‘Best Television Actress’ in 2012.
She is best known for her part as Natalie, in the hitseries BLACK WIDOW, who’s troubled life is dominated by drugs and crime. The series consist of five seasons and a feature film is on the way.
Her character Anne, in the Dutch film SUMMER, a girl suffocated by her narrow minded environment who slowly discovers her surreptitious yearning for another girl’s love, has both won her the Iris Prize ‘Best Actress’ in 2015 as well as a nomination for ‘Best Female Actress in a Feature Film’ at the Nederlands Film Festival 2014.
Sigrid was nominated ‘Best Supporting Actress’ at the Nederlands Film Festival 2015 for her part of Laura in the feature film PRINCE, which had it’s world premiere opening The Generation Competion at the Berlinale in Berlin. Lately she had walked and crossed the borders playing in the France Canal+ series KILL SKILLS, the German crime series DER AMSTERDAM KRIMI and the Czech film OUTSIDE. Currently she is working on a new American series, in which will be playing the female lead.
On stage she has worked with world-renowned director Ivo van Hove.
